At the restaurant (Modal verbs) TIME:
4 hours GRADE:
8°
Background: Food, fruits, vegetables, locations, simple present, countable
and uncountable.
Objective(s):
The students will be able to create their self’s sentences and use the
vocabulary learnt in real context.

Introduction:
Ask them for the foods they like to eat frequently, each student have
to name one different food and they have to give the recipe or how do they
prepare the plate.

- Videos “at the restaurant”

- Role play
- flash cards (foods)
- Menu of a real restaurant
- List of expressions

Process:
I´m going to ask them if they have been in a restaurant where the
waiter/waitress attends them, what kind of food do they like. If they prefer
water, soft drink or juice for drinking and how do they order that in
English, where they will give some possibilities. I am going to give them a
list of common expressions to ordering in a restaurant followed by a video
where they are going to know other expressions to ordering.
After that I´m going to explain them how we can use those expressions
to ordering, what is the best way to use them?Andthen give them a short
explanation about the topic. Show them a video as an example of being in a
restaurant, in order to familiarize the expressions, vocabulary and context.
Closure:
-Groups of 3 students and they will have 10 minutes to create a scene
where they could use the vocabulary seen.

Ways to Improve lesson For
Next Time:
-To Use a different
activity to reinforce the vocabulary.
-To motivate the students
to practice and look for more vocabulary about foods and restaurant through
an extra activity.

Application/Follow-up:
We will continue with the topic “At the airport”, where we are going to
study vocabulary and review the tenses seen.
Assessment:
1. Student will be able to
understand what the other is talking about.
2. Student will be able to
communicate ideas by using adequate vocabulary.
3. Student will be able to mix the
studied tenses for communicating ideas.
